Onuachu inches closer to permanent transfer to Trabzonspor
Super Eagles and Southampton striker Paul Onuachu is reportedly edging towards a permanent move to Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor following a prolific loan spell last season.
The 30 year old Nigerian, who scored 17 goals and supplied four assists in 25 outings, has already terms with Trabzonspor. Reports suggest the Turkish club have offered approximately €8 million, with Southampton reportedly asking for €10 million, though talks remain ongoing.
In spite of initial hesitation Trabzonspor twice walked away due to price concerns negotiations have been revived as Southampton seeks to offload players amid looming relegation and financial restructuring.
Club insiders remain cautiously optimistic that a final agreement will be concluded before the close of the summer window, allowing Onuachu to continue his impactful spell in Turkey.
